Assistant Service Manager

THE POSITION:

Vickar Ford is seeking a motivated and customer-focused Assistant Service Manager to join our high-volume Ford dealership. This is a key leadership role supporting the Service Manager in daily operations while ensuring exceptional customer satisfaction and efficient service department performance.

Known as the Auto Group where “Customers send their friends”.

Key Responsibilities

• Support and lead service advisors and technicians to meet performance goals
• Ensure excellent customer service and timely resolution of concerns
• Help manage workflow, scheduling, and repair order processes
• Monitor productivity, efficiency, and quality control
• Maintain Ford brand standards and compliance
• Assist with training, coaching, and development of team members
• Step in to manage the department in the Service Manager’s absence
• CSI/Net Promoter Score management
• Helping manage shop capacity and dispatching decisions
• Partnering with Parts Department for availability and workflow coordination
• Warranty administration oversight 

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a dealership service department (Ford experience preferred)
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
• Customer-first mindset with problem-solving abilities
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
• Knowledge of dealership DMS systems and Ford processes is a plus
