Vickar Community Chevrolet is looking to fill the position of a Sales and Leasing Consultant, who, under the direction of General Manager and Sales Manager, will liaise with various departments to ensure awareness of the incentives and promotions offered. The Sales Consultant will be responsible to promote and ensure high customer satisfaction with every client, as well as generate sales revenue through the sale of vehicles and promotion of business office products.

Responsibilities:

  • Sell vehicles to obtain dealership profit, increase volume and maintain customer satisfaction
  •  Keep abreast of technological changes in automotive industry including:  new products, features, accessories, and the benefits to customer
  • Ensure that all vehicles scheduled for delivery are properly prepped (detailed), licensed, fueled, tire pressures set accurately, floor liners and wheel locks included (new vehicles), no check engine or other warning lights, etc.
  • To identify and allocate all sales inquiries in a prompt and effective fashion providing exemplary customer service
  • Deliver vehicles to customers and ensure the customer understands the operating features, warranty conditions and all related documents in order to establish customer loyalty
  • Maintain an owner follow-up and prospect development system to encourage repeat referral and new business; through dedicated computer system
  • Acquaint customers with service department personnel to emphasize quality and efficiency of dealership operations
  • Ensure that customers are provided an unmatched ownership experience at all times
  • Coordinate with the Financial Services Team to ensure vehicles to be delivered have any add-ons installed or included with the vehicle
  • Understand the customer’s past purchase history in order to tailor the delivery experience to the customers’ need
  • Perform any other duties as required

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma, G.E.D. or equivalent experience
  • Current Provincial Vehicles Sales Person's License or willing to obtain within 30 days.
  • Previous Automotive sales experience, preferably in progressive auto industry roles (1-2 years)
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • A passion for customer service and Automobiles.
  • Able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing.
  • Excellent interpersonal and relationship –building skills.
  • Well-developed problem-solving skills and ability to develop conceptual alternatives.
  • High degree of resourcefulness, flexibility, and adaptability.
  • Must have the ability to plan, organize, develop, implement and interpret the programs, goals, objectives, policies, procedures, etc.
